1810 George III Solid Silver Christening Tankard London 105 grams

1810 George III Solid Silver Christening Tankard London 105 grams

A fine example of a small Solid Silver Tankard from the reign of George III and hallmarked for London in 1810.

The maker's initials T.J. for Thomas Johnson.

The tankard is in good condition and 212 years old.

t'sI embossed with multiple rings, which are indicative of the Georgian era.

The height measures approximately 70mm, and the diameter of the top rim is 60mm,

The base diameter is 70mm

Silver Weight is 105 grams.

There is a small spot under the handle which after a long examination does not appear to be a repair but more a flaw in the tankard's production.  This is my opinion and in my eyes in some way adds to the overall age and appearance. (Please check photos 5/6/7)

No engraved initials or monograms.
